43 trucks rolled into the R/C Madness racing facility in Enfield, CT on a beatufiul May day for Round #4 of the 2018 R/C Monster Truck Challenge Points Series. Heading into today's event, the Points Series lead was all tied up between Kyle DeFalco's Executioner and Derrick Algierie's Storm Damage. The drivers have a big, fast and challenging turning course to tackle for the month's racing course and points to claim, the racing action was intense. Last ,month's top performance were in fine form yet again, with Derrick Algieri and Kevin Adair having strong runs all day long. Chris Ciriello didnt seem to lose much momentum after earning his first podium finish of his racing career, Chris put down some more strong runs including a close win over Mike Eaton and the Ken Block racer. A driver who has been steadily improving event after event and beginning to have a breakout day of his own was Mike Mackenzie. Mike was having strong runs with his three entires all day long, which culminated with driving his VP Racing Fuels Mad Scientist into the final four. Mike was the only other driver to get into the final four, the other three spots in the semi finals belonged to Kyle DeFalco. Kyle earned the Top Qualifier spot with Executioner, who went ont to defeat co-points series leader Storm Damage to take over sole posession of the points lead. Kyle didnt stop there however, he got Executioner, Samson and Equalizer into the final four. Samson defeated Mike Mackenzie in the third place race and Kyle's Executioner defeated his Equalizer in the racing finals to take 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. A strong display of performance for sure, but Storm Damage and the field are still within striking distance for these CPE Points. Round #6 is now set up to be a crucial battle in this year's points chase as we are now past the halfway point in the season. Who will pick up the next win of 2018? stay tuned and find out!!
