2016 RC MONSTER TRUCK CHALLENGE
WORLD FINALS COVERAGE
The 2016 RC Monster Truck Challenge racing season again has been one for the record books. The year saw the most close and competitive Points Series battles we have ever had, with a different truck and driver winning at each event leading up to the final battle We've had new trucks, new drivers and a ton of awesome racing action. The 2016 RCMTC World Finals was the perfect grand finale for such an amazing year. We were supported by some amazing sponsors this year. Cow R/C, Crawford Perforance Engineering, Screw Loose Hardware and JConcepts. Fred Reep from JConcepts was even on hand with a full on JConcepts sales and display tent, making the drive all the way from Florida. The drivers loved all the sponsor support found at this year's Worlds..

This year's RCMTC World Finals drew the largest numer of trucks that the Word Finals event at Barnstormers has ever seen, going all the way back to the first year the RCMTRA series brought the big season finale to the famed Orange County NY dirt track. 43 monster trucks hit the track and represented states all up and down the east coast and beyond. We had drivers from New York, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and even Canada!! The racing battle was intense all day long. The qualifying bracket would also serve as the final battle for the 2016 Points Series, trucks would earn their points in qualifying to act as our Round #5 race which was cancelled the previous month so the heat was on as the other drivers dialed their trucks in for the Championship Racing Bracket. To no one's surprise, it was Maryland's Chad Buckland driving his team juice cube chassis trucks to the top of the field, winning the first two qualifying brackets with his Spike Monster Truck. Noah Wyatt Dale from North Caroilna making his first RCMTC start also picked up a qualifying bracket win. Following qualifying, it was Chad's Spike that earned the top qualifier spot, earning him the number one seed in the championship bracket. Kyle DeFalco's Snake Bite also earned enough points to claim the 2016 RCMTC Points Series Championship.

The RCMTC World Finals Championship racing bracket would determine this year's racing champion. The bracket started off as a "B" bracket for trucks with lower qualifying spots to battle it out in a mini bracket to earn the final spot in the champoinship bracket, a battle which was won by Marlon Cox and Boogey Van. At the end of the Championship bracket, it was Chad Buckland driving Team Juice Snapple taking on Kyle DeFalco driving Snake Bite, with Chad's Team Juice ride grabbing the win and the championship.

Freestyle like always was off the hook, with endless amounts of awesome moves, big air and carnage. At the end of the day it was Kyle's Snake Bite grabbing the win and the 2016 Freestyle Championship. The freestyle fun capped off what was an incredible event and racing season. We cannot thank all of our sponsors and drivers who came out this year enough for all their support and we can't wait to do it again in 2017. Enjoy the pictures and video coverage!!
