RC MONSTER TRUCK CHALLENGE POINTS SERIES
ROUND #3 COVERAGE
After a big shakeup in the points in Round #2, Today's racing action was shaping up to be a war right as the first set of tires hit the dirt. The RC Monster Truck Challenge of New York brought out an awesome S-course for today's racing, pushing the drivers and trucks to their limits and they battle for those oh so important Crawford Performance points. Maximum Destruction's hot run from Round #2 has given him the early points lead, with Rain Steel, Grave Digger and the rest of the field close behind. Today's raced also featured an exciting first for the RCMTC-NY as the racing action was filmed for TV for the Radical Hunter TV Show on the Sportsman Channel.

Rookie Tony Scorzafava has been improving every time out on the track so far this year and was making another big step this weekend. Along with the ZRP Nitemare truck that we've seen the first 2 points races, he also debuted a second truck today which is sponsored by the Radical Hunter TV show. It's great to see a TV show backing an R/C Monster Truck racing team effort and it is something not widely seen on the R/C monster truck racing circuit so it is great to see out on the track. Both trucks had strong runs for the majority of the day. Also improving big time on a short amount of time on the RCMTC circuit is Kevin Mcdaniel, who's trucks Team New Wave and Blade Brown put in strong run after strong run and really had the handle on his vehicles. It's always great to see new trucks and drivers come in and watch them progress through the racing rounds. With that in mind, keep your eyes on young Ethan Saunders who debuted the awesome new Little Tiger truck this weekend, and is also getting better and better each run. As the rounds went on, it was Maximum Destruction and Grave Digger emerging as the big threats of the day, with Ryan Mahar, Abdul Rascoe and the lethal 3 truck team of Derrick Algieri also putting in some strong passes. At the end of the day it was Maximum Destruction, scoring a total number of 144 points and grabbing the event win. What was exciting was positions 2-3 as El Diablo, Grave Digger and Air Force Afterburner scored a 115, 114, and 113 respectively. Amsoil Shock Therapy rounded out the top 5 not far behind with 107. The racing is still close and the track today produced some really great racing. Who knows what will happen when we get to round 4. The action gets ready to heat up in the summer months so stay tuned!! enjoy some pictures from today's event and a big thanks goes out to the Radical Hunter TV show for showcasing our racing series on their show!!
