RC MONSTER TRUCK CHALLENGE POINTS SERIES
ROUND #6 POINTS CHAMPIONSHIPS COVERAGE
Time flys when you're having fun huh? It's already the month of September and that means it's time to crown a points series champion here at RC Madness. The 2013 RC Monster Truck Challenge points series has been one for the record books up to this point. We've seen countless numbers of new trucks and drivers step up and compete each month on some of the most challenging and fun tracks the R/C monster truck racing circuit has seen, and now we are down to the 6th and final round to determine a champion. Currently #1 in the standings going in to this race is the 2010 points series champion and defending frreestyle champion Maximum Destruction. El Diablo has put on the heat on these last couple of events here in the summer after getting off to a slow start, and will try and continue the hot streak and reel in Max-D. The top 5 is still up for grabs as trucks like Bear Foot, Air Force Afterburner, Grave Digger and Nitemare are all in contention, and the racing was fast and exciting. Today's track was a side by side left turning oval drag track. The trucks would start over the first crush car jumps, heading to a set of rollers, then cutting in mid track and both truck making left U turns, heading back towards the top of the track, hit a jump and then U turn back in towards the black rollers and onto the finish line jump. The drivers were challenge all day long to get down to the first turn, keep the momentum up around to the second turn and then get the power down and drag it out to the finish line.

El Diablo got off to a quick start in the first of 6 bracket rounds on the day by defeating AMSOIL Shock Therapy in the first final round. The 15 truck field held many big players in the racing game as Jerry Matoon driving an extremely fast Safe Auto Minimizer was able to make it to the finals in bracket race #2 against Air Force Afterburner, with Afterburner grabbing the win. Round 3 would see a classic Grave Digger, Max-D matchup in the finals with Max-D grabbing his first final of the day. With Afterburner winning 4th race, El Diablo was able to defeat Max-D in Race 5 and the new Bulletproof in Race 6, but would it be enough?? After the points were tallied. El Diablo was able to come within 16 points of Max-D and take the event win, but it wasn't enough for the championship as Maximum Destuction's 2nd place finish was able to secure the win, MAXIMUM DESTRUCTION IS THE CHAMPION OF THE 2013 RCMTC POINTS SERIES!!! Congrats to Kyle and Max-D and all the racers on an amazing racing year, enjoy the pics!!
